Perumba River

Perumba River is a major freshwater river in Malabar region of Kerala State in India, which passes through industrial city of Payyannur, Kannur district. One of the major theaters in Payyanur, "Shanthi", is situated on the banks of this river at Perumba Town, Payyanur.

Tributaries

• Vannathi River: This tributary originates from Alakkode-Eramam-Kuttoor region of Western Ghats and flows through Mathamangalam. Peruma River is also known as Panappuzha near Mathamangalam.
• Kallamkulam Totti/Pangadam Thodu: Two arms of this triutary originate from east and south side of Kallamkunnu near Echilamvayal and flows through Thotti and Orikkamvayal respectively before it merges at Murikkum Thazkam in Pangadam Vayal. It then flows through Korom and merges with Perumba River near Korom kaipad.
